Research and surveys
In the first project phase a broad variety of surveys and investigations were undertaken to get an overview on the project theme in the participating countries. The purpose of the research and surveys was to become familiar with the respective approaches to Gender and ICT in schools and teacher education in the participating countries and to get inputs and basis for further project activities. Analysis and meta analysis of gender and ICT at schools and in teacher education was performed:

Manual ‘Promotion of gendersensitive Media Education - Didactic Material for Use in European Teacher Education’ EN, DE, CZ, LT, PL
The manual aims at contributing to building gender and media competence by
- sensitising for the perception of genderspecific differences in media education in school and teacher education,
- strengthening the diagnostic and self-reflective competencies of future and practicing teachers and teacher educators.
